‘n Bandelier wat aan a2.b7.c7.d6. Jan Jacobus Henning *2-7-1867 behoort het. Hierdie tipe bandelier is gedurende die Anglo-Boere-oorlog hoofsaaklik deur Britse soldate gebruik, dog die Boere het soveel van die Tommies se uitrusting gebuit dat daar later amper net soveel van hierdie bandeliere in besit van die Boere as die Tommies was. Jan Jacobus Henning was ‘n Kaapse rebel wat na die oorlog van hoogverrraad aangekla is weens die hulp wat hy aan die Boeremagte verleen het. A bandoleer which belonged to a2.b7.c7.d6. Jan Jacobus Henning *2-7-1867. This type of bandoleer was used during the Anglo Boer War primarily by British soldiers, but the Boers seized so many of the British “tommies” equipment that almost as many of these bandoleers were later in possesion of the Boers. Jan Jacobus Henning was a Cape rebel who was charged after the war of high-treason due to the support he rendered to the Boer forces. Donated by André Bisschoff of Pretoria, a grandson of Jan Jacobus
