Gert Frans Henning *1785 (a2.b7) het die slagyster daarna besit, gevolg deur sy seun, Olivier J G C Henning *1834 (a2.b7.c8), sy seun Olivier *1869, (a2.b7.c8.d8.), sy seun Leonard *1908 (a2.b7.c8.d8.e3.) en sy seun Olivier J *1943 (a2.b7.c8.d8.e3.f4).
Geen leeu is ooit met die slagyster gevang nie. Volgens oorlewering is slegs ‘n bees en ‘n vroulike plaaswerker, wat toevallig oor die plek geloop het waar die slagyster gestel was, gevang.

No lion was ever caught with the trap. According to legend only an ox and a female farm worker, who accidentally walked over the area where the trap was set, were ever trapped.
