Hierdie klavier, met nommer 8675 is gedurende April 1905 deur J Strohmenger & Sons van London, VK gebou. a2.b7.c8.d8. Olivier Johannes Henning, gebore 11-9-1869 het dit vir sy vrou Magdalena Maria Daisy (noemnaam Daisy) Henning (gebore Beeton) *5-1-1877 bestel. Dit is per skip na Kaapstad gebring en van daar af per trein tot by Burgersdorp en per ossewa tot by Damfontein in die Aliwal-Noord distrik. By aankoms op die plaas is die klavier op 29 Augustus 1905 deur A Dugmore gestem. Daarna is die klavier weer op 18 November 1910 deur F C Clark gestem. Die klavier het agtereenvolgens in die ou Damfontein opstal en later die 1880 dubbeverdiepinghuis gestaan totdat Daisy Henning gedurende die 1950’s by haar dogter, Gladys gaan woon het. Haar oudste dogter, Enid (a2.b7.c8.d8.e2) het die klavier toe gekry en sy het dit in haar testament aan haar broer Leonard (e3) bemaak, met die opdrag dat Leonard se seun, Olivier (a2.b7.c8.d8.e3.f4.) die klavier moes kry.
This piano, with number 8675 was built during April 1905 by J Strohmenger & Sons of London, UK. a2.b7.c8.d8. Olivier Johannes Henning, born 11-9-1869 ordered the piano for his wife Magdalena Maria Daisy (name by which she was known, Daisy) Henning (born Beeton) *5-1-1877. It was shipped to Cape Town and conveyed from there by train to Burgersdorp and by ox-wagon to the farm, Damfontein in the Aliwal North district. On arrival it was tuned on 29 August 1905 by A Dugmore. Thereafter it was tuned on 18 November 1910 by F C Clark. The piano was used succesively in the old Damfontein homestead and the later 1880 double-storey homestead until Daisy went to live with her daughter, Gladys, when the piano went to her oldest daughter, Enid (a2.b7.c8.d8.e2.). Enid bequeathed the piano to her brother, Leonard (e3) with the instruction that the piano must go to Leonard’s son Olivier (a2.b7.c8.d8.e3.f4.)
